Camshaft Housing, Removing And Installing: Removing: Notes

Cylinder head installed.

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the connection on the turbocharger. Refer to TURBOCHARGER CONNECTIONS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the charge air pressure pipe -1- together with the pulsation damper.

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 3-.

-- Remove the nut from the double bolt -4-.

-- Remove the coolant pipe from the double bolt and push it downward.

-- Remove the toothed belt from the camshaft. Refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING FROM CAMSHAFTS .

-- Remove the cylinder head cover. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the high pressure reservoir (Rail). Refer to HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (RAIL), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and press the fuel lines forward.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the Camshaft Position Sensor -G40-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Remove the bolt -1- with the :T10501 and loosen the bolt -2-.

-- Loosen the bolt -1- and remove the screw-type clamp.

-- Loosen the bolts -2- and remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Push the emissions control module slightly backward.
