Overview - Oil Pan/Oil Pump, Vehicles With One-Piece Oil Pan

NOTE:
If large quantities of metal shavings or abraded material are detected during an engine repair, it may mean the crankshaft or connecting rod bearings are damaged. To prevent further damage, the following steps must be carried out after the repair. Oil channels must be cleaned carefully; replace oil spray jets, engine oil cooler and oil filter.
Oil spray jet and pressure relief valve. Refer to Fig 1.

- Replace after removing.
- Self-locking
- Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-
- Removing and installing. Refer to Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Seal
- Replace after removing.
- Oil Drain Plug
- 30 Nm
- Seal
- Replace after removing.
- Bolt
- Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 3.
- Oil Pan
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- O-ring
- Replace after removing.
- Bolt
- Bolt with TORX® - internal drive: 12 Nm +180°
- Bolt with hex fitting-external drive: 10 Nm +180°
- Replace after removing.
Pay attention to the different threaded connections:
- Oil Pump
- With vacuum pump
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Alignment Sleeve
- Toothed Belt
- Removing. Refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Seal
- Replace after removing.
- Alignment Sleeve
- Cylinder Block
- O-ring
- Replace after removing.
- Oil Pressure Regulation Valve -N428-
- Removing and installing. Refer to Oil Pressure Regulation Valve -N428-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- Replace after removing.

-- Tighten the bolts in stages as follows:
