Misfueling can cause insufficient lubrication which can lead to irreversible damage to the high pressure components, especially the high pressure pump. Damage caused by seizing and particle abrasion should be expected. These particles can cause further damage in the pressure regulating valve and in the injectors. Test the fuel quality if there is any uncertainty. Analyze the fuel using the Fuel Identification Unit :VAS6774 . Refer to the Operating Instructions. This analysis device does not replace the analysis made by a warranty claims laboratory.
