Charge Air Cooler Component Overview

- Observe the rules for cleanliness. Refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
Always follow these instructions before and during work.
- Bolt
- 5 Nm
- Mount
- For the charge air cooler.
- Charge Air Cooler
- To remove, move the lock carrier into the service position. Refer to Description and Operation .
- Charge Air Hose
- Cold side, bottom.
- Ensure the hose is seated securely.
- Replace the gasket if it is damaged or if it leaks.
- Charge air cooler hose disconnecting and connecting. Refer to CHARGE AIR COOLER HOSE, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
- Clamp
- 5 Nm
- To the Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-
- Charge Air Hose
- Cold side, top
- Ensure the hose is seated securely.
- Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31-
- With the intake air temperature sensor.
- Bolt
- 3 Nm
- Rubber Grommet
- Replace if damaged.
- Bolt
- 8 Nm
- Charge Air Pipe
- Cold side.
- Charge Air Hose
- Hot side, top
- Ensure the hose is seated securely.
- From the Turbocharger
- Charge Air Pipe
- Hot side.
- Charge Air Hose
- Hot side, bottom.
- Ensure the hose is seated securely.
- Replace the gasket if it is damaged or if it leaks.
- Charge air hose connecting and disconnecting. Refer to CHARGE AIR COOLER HOSE, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
