Clean Working Conditions

When working on the charge air system and turbocharger, always follow the "7 rules" below to ensure clean working conditions.
- Thoroughly clean all connections and the surrounding area before disconnecting.
- Place parts that have been removed on a clean surface and cover them. Use lint-free cloths.
- Carefully cover or seal opened components, if repairs are not performed immediately.
- Install only clean parts: remove the replacement parts from their packaging just before installing them. Do not use parts that have been stored loose (for example, in a tool box).
- Transport and protective packaging and sealing caps are to be removed only immediately prior to installation.
- During repairs, clean oil from connections and hose ends.
- When the fuel system is open: avoid working with compressed air if possible. Do not move vehicle unless absolutely necessary.
