Slave Cylinder With Release Bearing

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

NOTE:

The clutch slave cylinder and the release bearing are a single unit and are replaced together.

Removing 

-- Remove the transmission. Refer to TRANSMISSION, REMOVING .

-- Open the clip -2- with a screwdriver and remove the breather assembly -4- from the clutch slave cylinder -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the clutch slave cylinder and the release bearing -A-.

Installing 

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal while observing the following:

Otherwise, there is danger that the bolt hole tabs could break off.

-- Tighten the slave cylinder with release bearing bolts, see -item 4- in CLUTCH RELEASE MECHANISM OVERVIEW .

-- Check the O-ring -3- on the clutch slave cylinder.

-- Install the breather assembly -4- on the connection on the clutch slave cylinder -1- until the clip -2- clicks into the place.

-- To check, pull on the breather assembly.

-- Install the transmission. Refer to TRANSMISSION, REMOVING .

-- Bleed the clutch system. Refer to CLUTCH SYSTEM, BLEEDING .
