Installing T10096

In order to secure subframe with brackets, T10096 must be installed in positions: -1-, -8-, -9- and -18- in succession.

NOTE:

T10096 may only be tightened to a maximum of 20 Nm, since otherwise the threads of the locating bolts will be damaged.

-- Replace the bolts of the mounting bracket one after the other on both sides with T10096 and tighten them to 20 Nm.

-- Replace the bracket bolts one after the other with T10096 and tighten to 20 Nm.

Position of front axle is now secured.

Steering gear, generation 2, through MY 2008, removing and installing, refer to "Place V.A.G 1383 A under subframe." under: STEERING GEAR, GENERATION 2, THROUGH MY 2008 .

Steering gear, generation 3, from MY 2009, removing and installing, refer to "Place V.A.G 1383 A under subframe." under: STEERING GEAR, GENERATION 3, FROM MY 2009 .

Removing T10096

Removal is performed in the reverse order of installation. Make sure that T10096 are replaced in succession with new bolts.
