Coolant Pump

Removing 

CAUTION:

When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following due to clearance issues:

  • Route lines of all types (e.g. for fuel, hydraulic, coolant and refrigerant, brake fluid, vacuum) and electrical wiring so that the original path is followed.
  • To prevent damage to the lines, make sure there is sufficient clearance to all moving or hot components.
NOTE:

Always replace gaskets and seals.

-- Drain the coolant COOLING SYSTEM, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove ribbed belt RIBBED DRIVE BELT .

-- Remove toothed belt TOOTHED BELT .

-- Remove the bolts -1- of the coolant pump -2- and carefully take out the coolant pump.

Installing 

Installation is performed in reverse order. When doing this note the following:

-- Coat new O-ring -3- with coolant.

NOTE:

The sealing plug of the coolant pump faces downward.

-- Place the coolant pump -2- into the cylinder block and fasten the bolts -1- to 15 Nm.

-- Install toothed belt TOOTHED BELT .

-- Install ribbed belt RIBBED DRIVE BELT .

-- Fill with coolant COOLING SYSTEM, DRAINING AND FILLING .
