Selector Mechanism, Through 02.2009: Overview

WARNING:
Move the selector lever into the "P" position and set the parking brake before working with the engine running.
- Shift Cover with Handle
- Do not remove the handle unnecessarily. For emergency release, only the cover must be removed. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER, MANUAL RELEASE .
- Pull the button past its pressure point before removing the handle. Secure the button with a cable tie or some suitable wire. This prevents the button from being pushed back into the handle accidentally.
- If the button is pushed in:
-- Just before installing, pull out button beyond the pressure point (sense this by touch).

- Removing and installing, refer to SHIFT MECHANISM WITH LEVER .
- Bolt with Spring
- 3 Nm

- Removing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE THROUGH 02.2009 .
- Do not lubricate.
- Securing Plate
- Always replace after removing.
- Nut
- 9 Nm
- Quantity: 4
- Shift Housing
- With seal.
- Selector Lever Cable
- Do not grease cable.
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE THROUGH 02.2009 .
- Checking, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE THROUGH 02.2009, CHECKING .
- Adjusting, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, ADJUSTING .
