EVAP Schematic Overview

- Leak Detection Pump -V144-
- Installed location: Under the liner in the right rear wheel housing.
- Checking, refer to the vehicle diagnostic tester.
- Removing and installing, refer to EVAP CANISTER .
- Connecting Line
- From the leak detection pump to the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister.
- Clipped to a bracket.
- EVAP Canister
- Installed location: On the bottom of the spare tire wheel well.
- Vehicles with engine code CBUA have an additional filter (see -item 1- in EVAP SYSTEM COMPONENT OVERVIEW ) installed.
- Removing and installing, refer to EVAP CANISTER .
- Separating Point
- In the back of the fuel tank, on the right side.
- Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-
- Removing and installing, refer to THROTTLE VALVE CONTROL MODULE -J338- .
- EVAP Canister Purge Regulator Valve 1 -N80-
- Checking, refer to the vehicle diagnostic tester.
- Vacuum Line
- Connected to the intake manifold.
- Separating Point
- In the front of the engine compartment on the right side, under the coolant expansion tank.
- Vent Line
- White
- From the EVAP canister to EVAP canister purge regulator valve 1.
- Installed position: The right side of the underbody.
- Attached to the fuel tank.
- Vacuum Line
- Green
- From the engine to the leak detection pump.
- Installed position: The right side of the underbody.
- Attached to the fuel tank.
- Separating Point
- In front of the fuel tank on the right side, near the fuel filter.
- Filler Tube
- Vent Line
- From the filler tube to the EVAP canister.
- Air Filter
- For the leak detection pump.
