Transmission And Clutch Housings Overview

Transmission Housing
- When replacing: Adjust the input shaft and the differential. Refer to ADJUSTMENT OVERVIEW .
Needle Bearing
- For the output shaft.
- Removing, refer to Figure.
- Installing and securing, refer to Figure.
Oil Fill Plug
- 35 Nm
- The transmission fluid level cannot be checked by removing the oil fill plug.
- If the transmission was disassembled, it must be filled before being installed again.
Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
- For the output shaft.
- Removing and installing, refer to OUTPUT SHAFT .
- When replacing: Adjust the output shaft. Refer to OUTPUT SHAFT, ADJUSTING .
Adjusting Shim
- For the output shaft.
- Adjustment overview, refer to ADJUSTMENT OVERVIEW .
Adjusting Shim
- For the input shaft.
- Adjustment overview, refer to INPUT SHAFT, ADJUSTING .
Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
- For the input shaft.
- Removing and installing, refer to INPUT SHAFT .
- When replacing: adjust the input shaft. Refer to INPUT SHAFT, ADJUSTING .
Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
- For the input shaft.
- Removing and installing, refer to INPUT SHAFT .
- When replacing: Adjust the input shaft. Refer to INPUT SHAFT, ADJUSTING .
Needle Sleeve
- Removing and installing, refer to REVERSE SHAFT .
Alignment Sleeve
- Quantity: 2
Clutch Housing
- When replacing: Refer to the adjustment overview. Refer to ADJUSTMENT OVERVIEW .
Guide Sleeve
- With a seal for the drive axle and a vulcanized O-ring.
- Removing the seal, refer to Figure.
- Installing the seal, refer to Figure.
- Remove the guide sleeve to replace the seal.
- If the O-ring is damaged, then replace the guide sleeve and the O-ring.
Bolt
- Tightening specification, see -item 6- in CLUTCH RELEASE MECHANISM OVERVIEW .
Seal
- Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:
  LEFT FLANGE SHAFT AND SEAL .
  
  RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, SEAL WITH SLEEVE (ONE-PIECE) .
  
  RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, SEAL AND SLEEVE (TWO-PIECE) .
Sleeve
- For the seal -item 14-.
- Removing, refer to Figure.
- Installing, refer to Figure.
Seal and Sleeve (One-Piece)
- If the seal is damaged, then replace both the seal and sleeve.
- Removing, refer to Figure.
- Installing, refer to Figure.
Oil Drain Plug
- 35 Nm
Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
- For the differential.
- Removing and installing, refer to DIFFERENTIAL .
- When replacing: adjusting the differential. Refer to DIFFERENTIAL, ADJUSTING .
Magnet
- Held in place by the housing joint surface.
Oil Catch Tray
- Install the oil catch tray into the transmission housing. Refer to Figure.
Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
- For the differential.
- Removing and installing, refer to DIFFERENTIAL .
- When replacing: adjusting the differential. Refer to DIFFERENTIAL, ADJUSTING .
Adjusting Shim
- For the differential.
- Adjustment overview, refer to ADJUSTMENT OVERVIEW .
Seal
- Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:
  LEFT FLANGE SHAFT AND SEAL .
  
  RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, SEAL WITH SLEEVE (ONE-PIECE) .
  
  RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, SEAL AND SLEEVE (TWO-PIECE) .
