Clutch Release Mechanism Overview: Notes

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required

  1. Transmission
  2. Ball Stud
    • 25 Nm
    • To remove and install, remove the transmission.
    • Remove grease from the release lever contact surfaces.
    • Lubricate using grease for clutch splines G 000 100.
  3. Input Shaft Seal
  4. Guide Sleeve
    • To remove and install, remove the transmission.
    • With a vulcanized O-ring.
    • Replace the guide sleeve and O-ring if the O-ring is damaged.
  5. Spring
    • To remove and install, remove the transmission.
    • Attach to the clutch release lever.
  6. Bolt
    • 20 Nm
  7. Clutch Release Lever
    • To remove and install, remove the transmission.
    • Remove and install together with the release bearing, refer to CLUTCH RELEASE MECHANISM OVERVIEW .
    • Remove any grease already present.
  8. Release Bearing
    • To remove and install, remove the transmission.
    • Do not wash the bearing, just wipe it off.
    • Replace loud bearings.
    • Removing from, and installing to the clutch release lever, refer to CLUTCH RELEASE MECHANISM OVERVIEW .
    • Lubricate the release lever contact surfaces with MoS 2 grease.
  9. Bolt 
    • 20 Nm
  10. Clutch Slave Cylinder
  11. Plunger
  12. Assembly Bolt
    • Secures the clutch release lever when installing the transmission.
    • Remove after installing the transmission.
      NOTE:

      Use an M6 x 35 bolt if the assembly bolt -item 12- is missing.
