Clutch Pedal Overview

  1. Bulkhead
    • With studs for the mounting bracket.
  2. Gasket
    • Always replace
    • Installed between the mounting bracket and bulkhead.
    • Equipped with self-adhesive.
    • Attached to the mounting bracket.
  3. Mounting Bracket
    • For clutch pedal mounting.
    • Some equipment versions have a sound absorber, refer to Fig 2.
    • Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:

      GTI from 2006 through 2009, refer to MOUNTING BRACKET .

      Golf/GTI from 2010, refer to .

  4. Bolt
  5. Over-Center Spring
    • Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:

      GTI from 2006 through 2009, refer to OVER-CENTER SPRING .

      Golf/GTI from 2010, refer to .

  6. Bushing
  7. Pin
  8. Clutch Pedal
    • Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:

      GTI from 2006 through 2009, refer to CLUTCH PEDAL .

      Golf/GTI from 2010, refer to .

  9. Mount
    • To remove and install, detach the master cylinder from the clutch pedal. Refer to one of the following:

      GTI from 2006 through 2009, refer to CLUTCH PEDAL .

      Golf/GTI from 2010, refer to .

  10. Gasket
    • Always replace.
    • Between the master cylinder and the mounting bracket.
  11. Master Cylinder
  12. Clutch Position Sensor -G476-
    • Removing and installing, refer to CLUTCH POSITION SENSOR .
    • Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
    • The clutch position sensor is called the clutch pedal switch -F36- in "Guided Fault Finding".
  13. Circlip
    • To remove and install the hose/line assembly or pipe, pull the clip all the way out.
  14. Supply Hose
    • Made of plastic, refer to Figure.
  15. Nut, Self-Locking
    • 25 Nm
    • Always replace
    • Quantity: 3
    • For the mounting bracket to the bulkhead.
  16. Nut
    • 25 Nm
    • Always replace.
  17. Jounce Bumper
    • For the clutch pedal.
