Clutch Position Sensor
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Hose Clamps up to 25 mm Dia. 3094
Removing
-- First, check whether a coded radio is installed. If so, obtain the anti-theft code.
-- Remove the battery and, if necessary, remove the rear panel on the battery case. Refer to Removal and Installation .
If a line -1- with a round component is installed directly below the master cylinder, the line must be removed.
While performing the following work, make sure no brake fluid comes into contact with the longitudinal member or the transmission. If it does, clean the area thoroughly.
-- Clamp off the supply hose to the master cylinder using the hose clamps up to 25 mm dia. 3094.
-- Pull the circlip -2- out using a screwdriver or a pointed tool and pull if from the master cylinder until it stops.
-- Remove the line -1- from the master cylinder and seal it.
-- Unclip the clutch position sensor -G476- from the master cylinder -arrow- and remove it.
-- Disconnect the connector -4-.
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following:
Replace the hose clamps
If the Line -1- was Removed:
-- Push the line -1- and the seal -2- into the master cylinder -4- until the circlip -3- audibly locks into place.
-- Pull on the line to make sure it is secure.
-- After removing the hose clamps up to 25 mm dia. 3094, bring the hose back to its original shape.
-- Bleed the clutch system. Refer to CLUTCH SYSTEM, BLEEDING .
-- Install the battery. Refer to Removal and Installation .
