Multi-Plate Clutch, Preparing For Installation

Overview

  1. Multi-Plate Clutch 
    • Cover secured with circlip.
    • Remove carefully.
  2. Circlips 
    • Quantity: 10.
    • Staggered in 0.1 mm increments.
  3. Clutch Cover 
    • Ensure the inner sealing lip is not damaged. Refer to INSTALLING .
  4. Circlip 
    • For the cover.

-- When removing the clutch, press on the clutch cover to prevent it and the clutch pack carrier from slipping.

NOTE:

Ensure the four piston rings are seated correctly.

The ends of the rings must not be positioned above one another.

The rings must move freely and must not stick.

-- First check whether there is a mark on the clutch -arrow-

-- If there is no mark, apply a colored mark so the tab on the cover can be placed back in this marked location later.

-- Set the clutch down in such a way that cannot fall over.

The clutch is now ready for installation. Refer to CLUTCH, INSTALLING AND ADJUSTING .
