Seal, Between Transmission And Bevel Box, Transmission Side

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Procedure 

-- Remove the bevel box. Refer to BEVEL BOX .

Place the VAG 1782 beneath the transmission.

-- Pry out the seal on the transmission using the T20143/1 or the T20143/2.

-- Fill the space between the sealing lip and dust lip -arrow- halfway with sealing grease G 052 128 A1.

-- Lightly lubricate the seal with oil on the outer circumference.

-- Carefully install the seal until seated using the T10243.

-- Install the bevel box. Refer to BEVEL BOX .

-- Check the transmission fluid level and fill if necessary. Refer to OIL FILTER, CHANGING AND OIL LEVEL, ADJUSTING .
