Slave Cylinder With Release Bearing

NOTE:

The clutch slave cylinder and the release bearing are a single unit and are replaced together.

Removing

Remove the transmission.

-- Pull the circlip -2- up using a screwdriver or a pointed tool and remove the breather assembly -4- from the slave cylinder -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the clutch slave cylinder and the release bearing -A-.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal while observing the following:

The slave cylinder bolts may only be tightened in small increments.

Otherwise, there is the danger that the tabs for the bolts could break off.

-- Install and tighten the slave cylinder with release bearing bolts 4.

-- Check the O-ring -3- on the clutch slave cylinder for damage.

-- Install the breather assembly -4- on the connection on the clutch slave cylinder -1- until the circlip -2- clicks into the place.

-- To check, pull on the breather assembly.

Install the transmission.

-- Bleed the clutch system. Refer to CLUTCH SYSTEM, BLEEDING .
