Midtronics Battery Charger INC-940, Troubleshooting
Under certain circumstances, the INC-940 display will indicate error or condition-dependant messages.
The following covers the most common display conditions/messages, as well as corresponding resolution suggestions.

Display Message: "CHECK CONNECTION"
This is and infrequent and normal message which may be caused by:
- Tester clamps not securely fastened.
- Loose or corroded battery terminals.
- Battery completely discharged.
Resolve by ensuring that:
- Charger clamps are secured properly
- Battery terminals are tightened to specification and free from corrosion.

Display Message: "ARE CLAMPS CONNECTED?".
As safety feature of the INC-940 ensures that clamps must be connected to battery before initiating charging and analysis process.
Display Message: "SYSTEM NOISE"
This is and infrequent and normal message which may be caused by:
- Battery monitoring control module.
- Ignition "On".
- Electrical consumers "On", ncluding those controlled automatically by vehicle system control modules (interior lights, cooling fans and after-run coolant pump, etc.).
- Aftermarket equipment such as remote starters, Lojack, television/gaming console, lighting etc.
Resolve by ensuring that:
- All electrical consumers are switched off.
- All electrical consumers controlled automatically by vehicle system control modules are off (wait until automatic operation cycle is completed).
- Ignition "Off", gnition key removed.
- Suspect aftermarket equipment is disconnected from power source.
