ECT Sensor With A Retaining Plate

-- Disconnect the connector -2- from the ECT sensor.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the retaining plate -1-.

-- Remove the ECT sensor.

NOTE:

Install the new ECT sensor with O-ring as quickly as possible to prevent coolant from leaking out.

Installing 

Tightening specifications, refer to the following:

Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the O-ring.

-- Clean the O-ring sealing surface.

-- Check the coolant level. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING .
