Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve 2 (vehicles with engine code BJS), checking: Notes

Solenoid valve is closed when no voltage is present.

Recommended special tools and equipment 

• V.A.G 1526 multimeter or V.A.G 1715 multimeter
• V.A.G 1594 connector test kit
• Wiring diagram

Test requirements

• The respective fuses of Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Solenoid Valve -N115- must be OK:

Refer to Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Troubleshooting & Component Locations

• Ground (GND) connections between engine and chassis must be OK.
• Ignition switched off.
