Gear selector elements, position

NOTE: The following list refers to Fig 1.
  1. - 2nd and 4th gear brake -B2- 
  2. - Reverse gear clutch -K2- 
  3. - 1st to 3rd gear clutch -K1- 
  4. - 4th gear clutch -K3- 
  5. - Reverse gear brake -B1- 
  6. - Free wheel clutch 

The GEAR SELECTOR ELEMENTS TABLE (FROM 01.93)  table shows which selector elements are operated for which gears, to help in dealing with complaints of poor performance, or for general drivetrain troubleshooting. The table makes it possible to determine which selector elements are not operating properly.

Before starting repairs to the transmission, first carry out the On Board Diagnostic program. See ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) .
