Checking solenoid valves while driving

(1) When driving, a second technician is needed for reading the specified values.

(2) The torque converter lock-up clutch must be open! The lock-up clutch is open when "H" = hydraulic with slip, is displayed in display field 1. Additionally the character "+" or "-" is displayed. "+" signifies that the engine speed (pump speed) is greater than turbine speed (vehicle under traction). "-" signifies that the engine speed is less than the turbine speed (vehicle in overrun).

(3) The gear shift must be completed. The torque converter lock -up clutch must be closed and the accelerator pedal value held constant (gears will be mechanically activated, "M").
