Rear door latch actuator, removing and installing: Removing

- Remove rear door trim. See FRONT DOOR TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Partially remove vapor barrier. See VAPOR BARRIER, REPLACING UP TO 12.93 or VAPOR BARRIER, REPLACING 01.94 AND UP .
- Disconnect bi-pressure hose -1- from actuator.
- Disconnect multi-pin harness connector -2- at actuator.
- Unhook pull and latch rods -3-.
- Remove rear door latch with actuator. See DOOR LATCH AND OPERATING MECHANISM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (front door latch).
- Turn latch rotor to "closed" position.
- Remove Torx(R) (T15) bolt -1-.
- Open retainers (arrows) and disconnect actuator from door latch.
When the actuator is removed, locking lever -1- slides out of the slot in striker -2-.
