Anti-theft alarm system overview: Notes

CAUTION: Before working on the electrical system:
  • Obtain radio anti-theft code.
  • Ignition OFF !
  • Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.
NOTE:
  • After reconnecting battery:
    • Activate vehicle equipment such as radio, clock and power windows as per appropriate article and/or Owner's Manual.
    • On vehicles equipped with OBD II, activate readiness code. See READINESS CODE, CREATING in appropriate ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) .
NOTE: The following list refers to items in Fig 1.
  1. - Alarm system control module -J284- 
  2. - Alarm horn -H8- 
  3. - Hood alarm switch -F120- 
  4. - Trunk lid alarm switch -F123- 
  5. - Trunk lock alarm/central locking switch -F124- 
  6. - Door contact switches -F2-, F3 -, -F10, -F11 - 
  7. - Driver's door central locking system switch -F59- 
  8. - Alarm system indicator light -K95-
