Front seat belts with belt tensioning system, removing and installing

WARNING:
  • Before starting any body disassembly, straightening or any other body repair work, belt tensioning units must be removed.
  • After an accident in which one or more belt tensioners have been activated, both seat belts must be replaced (belts will no longer retract).
NOTE: The following list refers to Fig 1 .
  1. - Belt height adjustment 
  2. - Belt guide 
    • Secured with 2 screws
    • 1.5 N.m (13 in. lb)
  3. - Seat belt with belt tensioner 
  4. - Anchor rail 
  5. - Tensioning unit 
  6. - Bracket 
  7. - Lock nut 
    • 20 N.m (15 ft lb)
    • Integral part of tensioning unit
  8. - Front belt lock
