Diagnostic Trouble Code memory, checking

Connecting scan tool, refer to SCAN TOOL, CONNECTING VAG1551 OR VAS5051 . Initiating On Board Diagnostic (OBD), refer to AIRBAG ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD), INITIATING .
Switch on printer with PRINT button (warning lamp in button lights up).

Stored DTCs or "No DTCs recognized" appears in display.

The stored DTCs are displayed and printed out one after the other.

The DTC printed out can then be rectified using the DTC table from, refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) TABLE .

If "No DTC recognized" is displayed the program will return to the initial position after pressing --> button.

If something else is displayed:

End output (function 06), refer to ERASE DTC MEMORY (FUNCTION 05) AND END OUTPUT (FUNCTION 06) .
Switch off ignition and disconnect Data Link Connector.
