Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet (Right Side) Removal And Installation/Replacement

Mobile Repair Possible:  Van/Car

Removal Procedure: 

  1. Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
  2. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  3. Remove the instrument panel knee bolster. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL KNEE BOLSTER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  4. Remove the instrument panel upper trim panel (left side). Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL UPPER TRIM PANEL (LEFT SIDE) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  5. Remove the instrument panel upper trim panel (right side). Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL UPPER TRIM PANEL (RIGHT SIDE) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  6. Remove the instrument panel outer trim cover. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL OUTER TRIM COVER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

  7. Remove 8 screws (1).

    Torque: 3 Nm

  8. Carefully slide the ambient lighting (1) on the passenger side upward.
  9. Unclip the instrument panel air outlet on the right side (2) at the marked points and remove it.

Installation Procedure: 

  1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.

    All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 

  2. Install the instrument panel outer trim cover. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL OUTER TRIM COVER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  3. Install the instrument panel upper trim panel (right side). Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL UPPER TRIM PANEL (RIGHT SIDE) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  4. Install the instrument panel upper trim panel (left side). Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL UPPER TRIM PANEL (LEFT SIDE) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  5. Install the instrument panel lower trim panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  6. Install the instrument panel knee bolster. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL KNEE BOLSTER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  7. Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
