Heater Core Removal And Installation/Replacement

Mobile Repair Possible:  No

Removal Procedure: 

  1. Remove the HVAC Assembly. Refer to HVAC ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

  2. Lever the air duct (1) over both latches (2) with a screwdriver and remove in the direction of the arrow.

  3. Pull off the seal (1) in the direction of the arrow and remove it.

  4. Remove the screw (1).

    Torque: 1 Nm 

  5. Loosen and remove the retaining plate (2) from the heating/air conditioning unit (3).

  6. Unlock and disconnect the electrical connector (1).
  7. Remove 3 Screws (2).

    Torque: 1 Nm 

  8. Remove the actuator (3).

  9. Unlock and disconnect the electrical connector (1).
  10. Remove screw (2).

    Torque: 1 Nm 

  11. Remove retainer (3).

  12. Pull the heating heat exchanger (1) out of the heating/air conditioning unit (2) and remove it.

Installation Procedure: 

  1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.

    All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 

  2. Install the HVAC Assembly. Refer to HVAC ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
