Front Side Upper Tie Bar Removal And Installation/Replacement

Mobile Repair Possible:  No

Removal Procedure: 

1. Remove Front Trunk. Refer to FRONT TRUNK REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

2. Remove 2 bolts (1).

   Torque: 5.5 Nm 

3. Remove 4 marked retaining clips.
4. Remove 3 bolts (1).

   Torque: 8 Nm 

5. Remove 3 bolts (2).

   Torque: 15.3 Nm 

6. Remove the left-hand upper tie bar (1) upwards.
7. For the right side, the coolant expansion tank (1) must be removed. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM EXPANSION TANK REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

8. Remove 4 marked retaining clips (1).
9. Remove 3 bolts (1).

   Torque: 8 Nm 

10. Remove 3 bolts (2).

    Torque: 15.3 Nm 

11. Remove the right-hand upper tie bar (1) upwards.

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.

   All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 

2. Install Front Trunk. Refer to FRONT TRUNK REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
