Removal [12/2021 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [06/2020 - 10/2022]

  2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 INVERTER PROTECTOR 

    See step  8

  4. REMOVE CONNECTOR COVER ASSEMBLY 

    See step  9

  5. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE 

    See step  10

  6. INSTALL CONNECTOR COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 INVERTER PROTECTOR 

    See step  14

  8. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  9. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  10. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER STOPPER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  11. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  12. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR MAT SUPPORT SIDE PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  13. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - ]

  14. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  15. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  16. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  17. REMOVE NO. 3 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD 

    See step  9

  18. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  19. REMOVE NO. 2 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD

  20. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD

  21. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LEG SUB-ASSEMBLY

  22. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    HINT: 

    Pull back the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH so that the rear seat side garnish LH can be removed.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  23. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38

  24. REMOVE TETHER ANCHOR BRACKET SET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40

  25. REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 41

  26. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42

  27. REMOVE EV CHARGER DUCT

      for 3.3kW Type:

      1. Remove the 3 clips and EV charger duct.
    2. for 6.6kW Type:

      1. Remove the 2 clips and EV charger duct.
  28. REMOVE ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    1. for 3.3kW Type:

      1. Disconnect the 4 connectors.
      2. Disengage the 9 clamps.
      3. Using a screwdriver, slide the green-colored lock of the connector as shown in the illustration to release it and disconnect the 2 connectors.

      4. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 wire harness clamp brackets.

        Remove the 4 bolts and electric vehicle charger assembly.

    2. for 6.6kW Type:

      1. Disconnect the 4 connectors.
      2. Disengage the 8 clamps.
      3. Using a screwdriver, slide the green-colored lock of the connector as shown in the illustration to release it and disconnect the 2 connectors.

        Remove the 2 bolts and 2 wire harness clamp brackets.

      2. Remove the 2 bolts and charger cooling blower.
