Removal [06/2020 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Hands Free Power Back Door) 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [06/2020 - 10/2022]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Hands Free Power Back Door) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]

  3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH 
    1. Remove the 3 clips.

      Screw
    2. Remove the screw and rear bumper side seal LH.
  4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH 
    1. Remove the 4 clips.

    2. Remove the screw and rear bumper side seal RH.
  5. REMOVE QUARTER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Put protective tape around the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.

    2. Remove the screw.
    3. Remove the clip.
    4. Pull back the edge of the rear wheel house liner LH and detach the claw by pushing the area indicated by the arrow in the illustration with a finger.

      Push in this Direction
      Remove in this Direction
      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force when pulling back the rear wheel house liner LH.
      • To avoid damaging the claw, do not forcibly pull the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.
    5. Detach the clip and disconnect the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
    6. Remove the 2 clips from the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.
      NOTE:

      If the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH has been disconnect, replace the clip with a new one.

  6. REMOVE QUARTER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  8. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER STOPPER 
    1. Remove the 2 rear bumper upper stoppers.

  10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Put protective tape around the rear bumper assembly.

      Protective Tape
    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Remove the 2 clips.

    4. Pull the rear quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH toward the outside as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    5. Remove the clip.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the other side.

    6. Detach the claw as shown in the illustration.

    8. w/ Wire Harness:

      1. Disconnect the connector.
      2. Detach the claw and back door garnish retainer to remove the rear bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.

        Remove in this Direction

        HINT:
