Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2021 - ] 
  2. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH

  5. REMOVE CENTER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL 
    NOTE:

    When removing the center No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel, be sure to pull it toward you. If attempting to remove by turning it upward, the claws may be damaged.

      1. Remove the screw.
      2. Disengage the clips.
    2. Disconnect the connector and aspirator hose to remove the center No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel.
  6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH

      1. Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.
      2. Using a moulding remover, disengage the clips as shown in the illustration to remove the instrument side panel LH.
  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    When removing the instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly, be sure to pull it toward you. If attempting to remove by turning it upward, the claws may be damaged.

      1. Remove the screw.
      2. Disengage the clips.
    2. Disconnect the connector to remove the instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.
  8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH

      1. Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.
      2. Using a moulding remover, disengage the clips as shown in the illustration to remove the instrument side panel RH.
  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL ORNAMENT 
    1. Open the glove compartment door assembly.

      1. Disengage the clips and claw.
        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the center instrument panel register assembly.

    2. Disconnect the connector to remove the center instrument panel register assembly.
  13. REMOVE NAVIGATION RECEIVER WITH BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  14. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  15. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

      1. Disengage the clips to disconnect the link pocket assembly.

      1. Release the stoppers.
      2. Remove the glove compartment door assembly as shown in the illustration.
  16. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Screw (a) - -
      1. Remove the screws.

        HINT: 

        The screws marked (a) need to be installed in their designated locations.

      2. Disengage the clamp and clips.
    2. Disconnect the connector to remove the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.
  17. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
  18. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Remove the screw.
      2. Disengage the clips to remove the No. 2 instrument panel register sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the No. 2 instrument panel register sub-assembly.

  19. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Remove the screw.
      2. Disengage the clips to remove the No. 1 instrument panel register sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the No. 1 instrument panel register sub-assembly.

  20. STEERING WHEEL POSITION 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  21. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL METER ORNAMENT

    2. Disconnect the connector to remove the upper instrument panel meter ornament.
  22. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14
  23. REMOVE FRONT NO. 4 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  24. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.
      2. Using a moulding remover, disengage the clips and claws as shown in the illustration.
    2. Disconnect the connector to remove the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.
  25. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
  26. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side and RH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  27. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 
    See step  5
  28. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    See step  7

  29. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
  30. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
  31. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  32. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
  33. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 
    See step  13
  34. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
  35. REMOVE NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE GARNISH

    2. Disconnect the connectors to remove the No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish.
  36. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Disconnect the airbag connector.

        HINT: 

        Refer to How to Connect or Disconnect Airbag Connector.

        Refer to HOW TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR [11/2021 - ]

      2. Remove the bolts.

      *a Slit Tape - -
      1. Remove the slit tape, and then remove the navigation antenna assembly and the telephone antenna assembly.
      2. Disengage the clamps.
    3. Remove the indoor electrical key oscillator.

      1. Disconnect the connectors.

      1. Remove the bolts, screws and instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
  37. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR DAMPER 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the glove compartment door damper.

  38. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT CUSHION

  39. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR REINFORCEMENT 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the glove compartment door reinforcement.

  40. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the No. 2 instrument panel register.
