Removal [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR SPOILER 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2024 - ]

  2. REMOVE REAR INNER MIRROR CAMERA ASSEMBLY WITH GARNISH (w/ Digital Inner Mirror) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2024 - ]

  3. REMOVE REAR WIPER SHAFT COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  4. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  5. REMOVE REAR WIPER LINK CAP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  6. REMOVE REAR WIPER LINK PIVOT WITH WASHER PACKING NUT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  7. REMOVE REAR WIPER LINK ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13
  8. REMOVE BACK WINDOW STAY ASSEMBLY LH 
    See step  1
  9. REMOVE BACK WINDOW STAY ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for LH side.
  10. REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS

      1. Apply protective tape to the outer surface of the vehicle body to prevent scratches.

        HINT: 

        When separating the back door glass from the vehicle, be careful not to damage the vehicle paint or interior/exterior ornaments.

    2. When reusing the back window glass:

      *a Matchmarks - -
      1. Place matchmarks over the glass and vehicle body at the locations shown in the illustration.

      1. Remove the 4 nuts and back door glass.
        NOTE:

        Be careful not to drop the back door glass.

  11. REMOVE NO. 3 BACK DOOR WIRE HARNESS GUIDE 
    1. When reusing the back window glass:

      *a Backside - -
      1. Detach the clamp and using a scraper, remove the back door wire harness RH.
        NOTE:
        • Do not damage the back window glass.
        • Always replace the installed back door wire harness RH with a new back door wire harness RH.
  12. REMOVE BACK DOOR SEAL 
    1. When reusing the back window glass:

      *a Backside - -
      1. Using a scraper, remove the back door seal LH.
        NOTE:
        • Do not damage the back door glass.
        • Always replace the installed back door seal LH with a new back door seal LH.
  13. REMOVE BACK DOOR SEAL 
    1. When reusing the back window glass:

      *a Backside - -
      1. Using a scraper, remove the back door seal.
        NOTE:
        • Do not damage the back door glass.
        • Always replace the installed back door seal with a new back door seal.
  14. REMOVE BACK WINDOW LOCK STRIKER ASSEMBLY

    1. Use the same procedure described for LH side.
  17. REMOVE BACK DOOR WINDOW HINGE RETAINER

  18. REMOVE BACK DOOR HINGE PLATE LH 
    1. When reusing the back window glass:

      *a Backside - -
      1. Using a scraper, remove the back door hinge plate.
        NOTE:
        • Do not damage the back door glass.
        • Always replace the installed back door hinge plate with a new back door hinge plate.
  19. REMOVE BACK DOOR HINGE PLATE RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for LH side.
  20. REMOVE NO. 1 BACK WINDOW GLASS SPACER 
    1. When reusing the back window glass:

      *a Backside - -
      1. Using a scraper, remove the back window glass spacer.
        NOTE:
        • Do not damage the back door glass.
        • Always replace the installed back window glass spacer with a new back window glass spacer.
  21. REMOVE BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOULDING LH 
    1. When reusing the back window glass:

      *a Backside - -
      1. Using a scraper, remove the back window outside moulding LH.
        NOTE:
        • Do not damage the back door glass.
        • Always replace the installed back window outside moulding LH with a new back window outside moulding LH.
  22. REMOVE BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOULDING RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the other side.
  23. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR WINDOW WIRE 
    1. When reusing the back window glass:

      1. Using a scraper, remove the No. 2 back door wire harness guide.
        NOTE:
        • Do not damage the back door glass.
        • Always replace the installed No. 2 back door wire harness guide with a new No. 2 back door wire harness guide.
