Removal [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER LOWER COVER 
    1. for Type A, w/ Hook:

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2) Clip
      Push in this Direction - -
      1. Put protective tape around the rear bumper lower cover.
      2. Remove the 2 clips.
      3. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the claw as shown in the illustration.
      4. Detach the hook and remove the rear bumper lower cover as shown in the illustration.
    2. for Type A, w/o Hook:

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction
      1. Put protective tape around the rear bumper lower cover.
      2. Remove the 2 clips.
      3. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the claw and remove the rear bumper lower cover as shown in the illustration.
    3. for Type B, w/ Hook:

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2) Clip
      Push in this Direction - -
      1. Put protective tape around the rear bumper lower cover.
      2. Remove the 2 clips.
      3. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the claw as shown in the illustration.
      4. Detach the hook and remove the rear bumper lower cover as shown in the illustration.
    4. for Type B, w/o Hook:

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction
      1. Put protective tape around the rear bumper lower cover.
      2. Remove the 2 clips.
      3. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the claw and remove the rear bumper lower cover as shown in the illustration.
  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 STEP COVER

      Remove in this Direction - -
  3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER STEP

      Remove in this Direction - -
  4. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  5. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CORNER EXTENSION LH

      Remove in this Direction - -
  7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CORNER EXTENSION RH

      Remove in this Direction - -
  8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER FILLER LH

      1. Put protective tape around the rear bumper filler LH.
      2. Insert a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape into the gap and detach the claw.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Detach the claw and remove the rear bumper filler LH as shown in the illustration.
  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER FILLER RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  10. REMOVE QUARTER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Remove the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH enough that the rear bumper assembly can be removed.

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2024 - ]

  11. REMOVE QUARTER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  12. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY

      1. Put protective tape around the rear bumper assembly.

      Bolt (A) Screw
      1. Remove the 4 bolts (A) and 6 screws.

      Bolt (B) Screw
      1. Remove the 2 bolts (B) and 8 screws.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Remove the clip.
      2. Detach the claw as shown in the illustration.
    5. Use the same procedure for the other side.

      1. Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the rear bumper assembly.
