Clutch Switch Circuit [01/2019 - 09/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the clutch start switch assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [01/2019 - 11/2022]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  COMPONENTS [01/2019 - 11/2022] 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A86-1 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      Ignition switch off Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the C77 ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A86-2 - C77-65 (D) Always Below 1 Ω
      A86-2 or C77-65 (D) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [01/2019 - 09/2022]
