Removal [09/2022 - 11/2022]: Procedure

REMOVE FRONT WHEELS

REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9
REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
REMOVE COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH PULLEY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

REMOVE NO. 1 AIR TUBE

Remove the 2 bolts.

Loosen the 2 hose clamps to remove the No. 1 air tube from the No. 2 air hose and No. 3 air hose.

REMOVE NO. 2 AIR HOSE

Loosen the hose clamp to remove the No. 2 air hose from the turbocharger sub-assembly.

DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

Remove the bolt and disconnect the engine wire from the timing chain cover assembly.

REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 59

REMOVE TIMING GEAR COVER INSULATOR

Remove the timing gear cover insulator from the timing chain cover assembly.

REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER ASSEMBLY

Remove the 12 bolts and seal washer.

Remove the timing chain cover assembly by prying between the timing chain cover assembly and oil pan sub-assembly, cylinder block sub-assembly with a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape.

Remove the 2 oil pump gaskets from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

NOTE:

Be careful not to damage the contact surfaces of the oil pan sub-assembly.

REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL
