Removal [11/2022 - ]: Procedure

REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [11/2022 - 09/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2024 - ]
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2022 - 09/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2024 - ]
REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD
Refer to REMOVAL [11/2022 - ]
REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [11/2022 - 09/2024] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2024 - ]

DISCONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the water inlet with water pump housing sub-assembly.

DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

REMOVE AIR CONNECTOR STAY

Remove the bolt and air connector stay from the water inlet with water pump housing sub-assembly.

REMOVE WATER INLET WITH WATER PUMP HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY

Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass hose from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

NOTE:

Do not apply force to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly when disconnecting the No. 4 water by-pass hose.
Do not damage the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and water inlet with water pump housing sub-assembly from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

Remove the gasket from the water inlet with water pump housing sub-assembly.

REMOVE WATER INLET WITH THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

Remove the 2 bolts and water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

Remove the gasket from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
