Removal [01/2019 - 11/2022]: Procedure

- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [01/2019 - 03/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [03/2019 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [09/2022 - 11/2022]
- REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [01/2019 - 03/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [03/2019 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2022 - 11/2022]
- DRAIN CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID
- Remove the refill plug and gasket from the rear transaxle case.
- Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket from the transaxle oil (CVT) pan sub-assembly and drain the fluid.
- Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the overflow (CVT) tube from the transaxle oil (CVT) pan sub-assembly and drain the fluid.
*1 Overflow (CVT) Tube - Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, install the overflow (CVT) tube to the transaxle oil (CVT) pan sub-assembly.
Torque: 1.7 N.m (17 kgf/cm, 15 in.lbf)
- Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, temporarily install the overflow plug and gasket to the transaxle oil (CVT) pan sub-assembly.
HINT:
Reuse the old gasket as the overflow plug will be removed again to adjust the fluid level.
- Temporarily install the refill plug and gasket to the rear transaxle case.

Reuse the old gasket as the refill plug will be removed again to adjust the fluid level.
- Remove the refill plug and gasket from the rear transaxle case.
- REMOVE TRANSAXLE OIL (CVT) PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 16 bolts, transaxle oil (CVT) pan sub-assembly and transaxle oil pan (CVT) gasket from the transaxle case.
- Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket from the transaxle oil (CVT) pan sub-assembly.
- Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the overflow (CVT) tube from the transaxle oil (CVT) pan sub-assembly.
- Remove the 16 bolts, transaxle oil (CVT) pan sub-assembly and transaxle oil pan (CVT) gasket from the transaxle case.
- REMOVE OIL CLEANER (CVT) MAGNET
- REMOVE OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the oil strainer assembly is necessary.
