Removal [11/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [09/2022 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [11/2022 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [03/2023 - 09/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2024 - ]

  4. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2022 - ]

  5. REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER 
    1. Disengage the claw as shown in the illustration to remove the flywheel housing side cover.

  6. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the starter assembly connector.

    2. Disengage the claw and remove the starter assembly cover (cover B) from the starter assembly cover (base) and starter assembly cover (cover A).

    3. Remove the nut to disconnect the engine wire from terminal 30.

    4. Remove the bolt and disconnect the engine wire.

    5. Remove the 2 bolts and starter assembly.

    6. Remove the starter assembly cover (cover A) from the starter assembly cover (base).

    7. Remove the nut and starter terminal from the starter assembly.

    8. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the starter terminal from the starter assembly cover (base).
