Installation [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
  2. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL METER ORNAMENT 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22
  3. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  4. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
  5. INSTALL METER HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL ORNAMENT 
  8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34
  9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  10. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36
  11. INSTALL CENTER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL 
  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
  13. WRITE CONTROL MODULE SETTING INFORMATION 
    NOTE:

    If incorrect information is written to a new combination meter assembly during "Read Control module setting information", "Write saved setting information data" or "Write applied models and option codes", the new combination meter assembly cannot be used because correct information will not be displayed. Obtain another new combination meter assembly and perform writing again.

    HINT: 
    • Perform when replacing with a new combination meter assembly.
    • When there is no saved data, perform a write using the applied models and option codes.
    1. When performing a write using saved data:
      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
      2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      3. Using the GTS, enter the following menu.

        Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Utility 

        Tester Display
        Write Control module setting information
      4. In accordance with the display of the screen, input the password.

        HINT: 

        The password is "4649".

      5. In accordance with the display of the screen, perform a write using the saved data.
      6. In accordance with the display of the screen, complete "Write Control module setting information".
      7. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. When writing using the applied models and option codes:
      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
      2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      3. Using the GTS, enter the following menu.

        Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Utility 

        Tester Display
        Write Control module setting information
      4. In accordance with the display of the screen, input the password.

        HINT: 

        • The password is "4649".
        • "The saved data does not exist." is displayed.
      5. In accordance with the display of the screen, input the applied model and OP code.

        HINT: 

        Refer to the name label attached to the vehicle to confirm the applied model and option code.

        Refer to VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION AND SERIAL NUMBERS [11/2021 - ]

      6. In accordance with the display of the screen, write the data.
      7. In accordance with the display of the screen, complete "Write Control module setting information".
      8. Turn the ignition switch off.
  14. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [11/2021 - ]

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
