Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure
- READ VEHICLE MODEL REGISTRATION INFORMATION NOTE:
Perform this procedure before replacing the forward recognition camera. (Do not perform when performing an adjustment or inspection of the forward recognition camera again)
- In accordance with the [Select parameters] procedure, read the vehicle registration information and save it to the GTS.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for approximately 10 seconds.
- Using the GTS, select "Selection of Parameter" using "Utility" of "EyeSight".
Body Electrical > EyeSight > Utility
Tester Display Selection of Parameter - Select "Before replacement operation" and save the vehicle registration information in accordance with the instructions on the screen.
- When the "Saving Vehicle Model Registration information is complete" screen is displayed, turn the ignition switch off and click the "Exit" button.
HINT:
If the vehicle registration information cannot be saved, manually write the vehicle registration information after replacing the forward recognition camera.

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 - REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY NOTE:
Avoid hitting the map light assembly. Hitting may apply impact to the forward recognition camera.
- Attach dust-free paper (a) such as copy paper to the map light assembly.
- Disconnect the 6 claws and remove the No. 1 forward recognition cover.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Slowly pull down the rear of the map light assembly, and then release the clips.
- Slide the map light assembly toward the windshield glass, and disengage the front hook.
- Disconnect the connectors, and remove the map light assembly.
- REMOVE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA NOTE:
- Do not hold at the left and right cameras.
- Do not touch the lens filter on the forward recognition camera. If touched, replace the forward recognition camera.
- Do not apply any impact to the forward recognition camera. Even the slightest shock will deviate the optical axis of the camera, resulting in the loss of normal operation of the camera.
- REMOVE PLATE (ADJUSTER)
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the plate (adjuster) is necessary.
