Removal [09/2021 - 11/2022]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION

    NOTE:

    Make sure to read the precautions of the electric parking brake system before removing the rear brake assembly.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2021 - 11/2022]
  2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2021 - ]

  3. PERFORM REAR BRAKE PAD REPLACEMENT MODE 

    Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [09/2021 - 11/2022]

  4. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

    NOTE:

    If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.
  5. DISCONNECT REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

    NOTE:

    Each rear disc brake pad support plate has a different shape. Be sure to put an identification mark on each rear disc brake pad support plate so that it can be reinstalled to its original position.

  13. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER SLIDE BUSH

      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the rear disc brake cylinder slide bush from the rear No. 2 disc brake cylinder slide pin.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the rear No. 2 disc brake cylinder slide pin.

  14. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE BUSHING DUST BOOT

  16. REMOVE REAR DISC

      *a Matchmark - -
      1. Put matchmarks on the rear disc and rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
      2. Remove the rear disc.
