Removal [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  2. CHANGE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM SETTINGS 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

  4. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  8. REMOVE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    See step  9

  10. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    See step  11

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 screws <C>.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
    2. Pull the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 3 claws.
    3. Pull the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the guide.
    4. Disengage the 2 claws to disconnect the DLC3.

    5. Disconnect the connector and disengage the clamp to remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
  12. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Disconnect the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL 
    1. Using a moulding remover, pull the No. 2 instrument side panel in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 6 clips.

    2. Pull the No. 2 instrument side panel in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the 4 guides and remove it.
  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Pull the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 4 claws.

    2. Pull the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 guides and remove it.
    3. Disconnect the connector and disengage the clamp to remove the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  17. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slightly bend the stoppers (A) and (B) in the directions indicated by the arrows in the illustration and open the glove compartment door assembly until the stoppers are released.

    2. Disengage the claw to disconnect the glove compartment door stopper sub-assembly.

    3. Open the glove compartment door assembly approximately 15° from the position shown in the illustration, then pull horizontally toward the rear of the vehicle to disengage the 2 hinges and remove the glove compartment door assembly.

      NOTE:

      Pulling the glove compartment door assembly upward to remove it causes the hinges to deform. Be sure to pull out the glove compartment door assembly horizontally.

  18. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - ] 

  19. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 5 bolts <B>.
    3. Disengage the 4 clips and 3 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the lower No. 2 instrument panel finish panel.

  20. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH 
    1. Disengage the 5 clips as shown in the illustration to remove the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  21. REMOVE FUSE BOX OPENING COVER 
    1. Remove the bolt <B>.

    2. Disengage the 7 clips as shown in the illustration.
    3. Disconnect each connector and disengage the clamp to remove the fuse box opening cover.

  22. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the claw and 2 guides to disconnect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  23. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 8 clips as shown in the illustration.

  24. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  25. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 7 clips and 2 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the instrument cluster finish panel assembly.

  26. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  27. REMOVE CENTER UPPER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL 
    1. Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 7 clips and 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Insert the moulding remover while pushing the side of the center upper instrument cluster finish panel.

    3. Disconnect the connector to remove the center upper instrument cluster finish panel.

  28. REMOVE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for 8 Inch Display) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  29. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for 12.3 Inch Display)

  30. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY

  31. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE BOX INSULATOR 
    1. Disengage the 2 clips and 3 guides as shown in the illustration.

  32. REMOVE WIRELESS CHARGER ASSEMBLY

  33. REMOVE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) WITH BRACKET (w/ Manual (SOS) Switch)

  34. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

  35. REMOVE NO. 1 SPEAKER HOLE COVER 
    1. Disengage the 2 clips and 2 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the No. 1 speaker hole cover.

  36. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  37. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  38. REMOVE NO. 2 SPEAKER HOLE COVER 
    1. Disengage the 2 clips and 2 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the No. 2 speaker hole cover.

  39. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  40. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 clips.

      *1 Cooler (Room Temp. Sensor) Thermistor - -
    2. Disengage the 2 claws to disconnect the cooler (room temp. sensor) thermistor.
    3. Disconnect each connector.

      *a Bolt <A> *b Bolt <B>
      *c Bolt <D> *d Nut <E>
      *e Guide *f Clamp
    4. Remove the bolt <D> and disengage the guide.
    5. Disengage the clamp.
    6. Remove the 2 bolts <A>.
    7. Disconnect the airbag connector.

      HINT: 

      Refer to How to Connect or Disconnect Airbag Connector.

      Refer to HOW TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR [10/2022 - ]

    8. Remove the 5 bolts <B> and nut <E>.
    9. Disengage the 5 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      NOTE:
      • Do not damage the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
      • Do not allow the wire harnesses to interfere with the surrounding parts.
