Removal [10/2022 - ]: Procedure
- ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
- CHANGE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM SETTINGS

- REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- REMOVE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
See step 9
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH
See step 11
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 3 screws <C>.
Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Pull the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 3 claws.
- Pull the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the guide.
- Disengage the 2 claws to disconnect the DLC3.
*A w/o Illumination *B w/ Illumination *a DLC3 - - - Disconnect the connector and disengage the clamp to remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
- Remove the 3 screws <C>.
- DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL
- Using a moulding remover, pull the No. 2 instrument side panel in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 6 clips.
Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Pull the No. 2 instrument side panel in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the 4 guides and remove it.
- Using a moulding remover, pull the No. 2 instrument side panel in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 6 clips.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Pull the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 4 claws.
Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Pull the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 guides and remove it.
- Disconnect the connector and disengage the clamp to remove the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
*A w/o Illumination *B w/ Illumination
- Pull the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 4 claws.
- REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY
- Slightly bend the stoppers (A) and (B) in the directions indicated by the arrows in the illustration and open the glove compartment door assembly until the stoppers are released.
*a Stopper - Disengage the claw to disconnect the glove compartment door stopper sub-assembly.
*1 Glove Compartment Door Stopper Sub-assembly - Open the glove compartment door assembly approximately 15° from the position shown in the illustration, then pull horizontally toward the rear of the vehicle to disengage the 2 hinges and remove the glove compartment door assembly.
*a 15° - - Remove in this Direction - - NOTE:Pulling the glove compartment door assembly upward to remove it causes the hinges to deform. Be sure to pull out the glove compartment door assembly horizontally.
- Slightly bend the stoppers (A) and (B) in the directions indicated by the arrows in the illustration and open the glove compartment door assembly until the stoppers are released.
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH
- REMOVE FUSE BOX OPENING COVER
- DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11
- REMOVE CENTER UPPER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
- Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.
Protective Tape Side of Center Upper Instrument Cluster Finish Panel Push in this Direction Remove in this Direction - Using a moulding remover, disengage the 7 clips and 2 guides as shown in the illustration.
HINT:
Insert the moulding remover while pushing the side of the center upper instrument cluster finish panel.
- Disconnect the connector to remove the center upper instrument cluster finish panel.
- Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for 8 Inch Display)

- REMOVE NO. 1 SPEAKER HOLE COVER
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE NO. 2 SPEAKER HOLE COVER
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 2 clips.
*1 Cooler (Room Temp. Sensor) Thermistor - - - Disengage the 2 claws to disconnect the cooler (room temp. sensor) thermistor.
- Disconnect each connector.
*a Bolt <A> *b Bolt <B> *c Bolt <D> *d Nut <E> *e Guide *f Clamp - Remove the bolt <D> and disengage the guide.
- Disengage the clamp.
- Remove the 2 bolts <A>.
- Disconnect the airbag connector.

- Remove the 5 bolts <B> and nut <E>.
- Disengage the 5 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
Remove in this Direction - - NOTE:- Do not damage the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
- Do not allow the wire harnesses to interfere with the surrounding parts.
- Remove the 2 clips.
