Reassembly [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL BACK DOOR GARNISH LOWER MOULDING PROTECTOR 

    HINT: 

    When installing the back door garnish lower moulding protector, heat the back door outside garnish using a heat light.

    HEATING TEMPERATURE

    Item Temperature
    Back Door Outside Garnish 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the back door outside garnish excessively.

    1. Clean the back door outside garnish surface.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish surface.
      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the back door outside garnish.
      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
    2. Using a brush or felt, apply primer or equivalent to the back door garnish lower moulding protector installation area.
      NOTE:
      • Use a clean brush or felt.
      • Do not touch the back door outside garnish until the primer has dried.

      Primer - -
    3. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish.
    4. Remove the release paper from a new back door garnish lower moulding protector.

      HINT: 

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    5. Install the back door garnish lower moulding protector as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      • Press the back door garnish lower moulding protector firmly to install it.
      • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
  2. INSTALL BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH PROTECTOR 

    HINT: 

    When installing the back door outside garnish protectors, heat the back door outside garnish using a heat light.

    4. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish.
    5. Remove the release paper from a new back door outside garnish protector.

      HINT: 

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    6. for Center with Back Door Outside Garnish Protector:
      1. Install the 7 back door outside garnish protectors as shown in the illustration.

    7. Install the 2 back door outside garnish protectors as shown in the illustration.

      Press the back door outside garnish protectors firmly to install it.

  3. INSTALL BACK DOOR GARNISH UPPER MOULDING PROTECTOR 

    HINT: 

    When installing the back door garnish upper moulding protector, heat the back door outside garnish using a heat light.

  4. INSTALL BACK DOOR GARNISH MOULDING PROTECTOR RH 

    HINT: 

    • When installing the back door garnish moulding protector RH, heat the back door garnish using a heat light.

      HINT: 

      Press the back door garnish moulding protector RH firmly to install it.

  5. INSTALL REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. INSTALL REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 LIGHT WIRE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  8. INSTALL SYMBOL EMBLEM 
    1. Engage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Install the symbol emblem with the 2 screws.
