Removal [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [10/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE BATTERY HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR BELT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  14. REMOVE HOLE PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42

  15. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  16. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.

      *a Release Plate
      Remove in this Direction
    2. Move the rear door lock with motor assembly downward as shown in the illustration to disconnect it from the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly, and remove the rear door lock with motor assembly.
    3. When reusing the rear door lock with motor assembly:
      1. Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the rear door lock with motor assembly.

  17. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw as shown in the illustration.

      *a Protective Tape
      Remove in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disengage the clamp to remove the rear door lock remote control cable assembly.

  18. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws as shown in the illustration.

      *a Protective Tape
      Remove in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disengage the clamp to remove the rear door inside locking cable assembly.
