Removal [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]

  3. REMOVE CYLINDER BLOCK COVER 
    1. Loosen clamps (1).

    2. Release all expanding rivets in marked areas.
    3. Guide out the cylinder block cover (2).
  4. REMOVE WATER PUMP SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Unlock and loosen connector (1).

    2. Unscrew the nut (2) on the holder.
    3. Guide the water pump sub-assembly (3) out of the holder and set it aside.
  5. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 
    WARNING:
    • Component with preload.

      Danger of injury!

      • Reduce preload as far as possible before disassembly. Relieve component.

    HINT: 

    If the fan and generator V belt is reused: Mark the direction of travel and reinstall the fan and generator V belt in same direction of travel.

    1. Using 16 mm socket, raise the preloading on the belt tensioner (1) in the direction of arrow.

      *a 4 mm Hexagon Wrench
    2. Secure the belt tensioner (1) with the 4 mm hexagon wrench.
    3. Guide out the fan and generator V belt (1) and remove it.
