Removal [06/2020 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [06/2020 - 10/2022]

    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [06/2020 - 10/2022]

  2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - 12/2021]

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 INVERTER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  4. REMOVE CONNECTOR COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  5. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  6. INSTALL CONNECTOR COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 INVERTER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  8. REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - ]

  9. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  10. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  11. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  12. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  13. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR MAT SUPPORT SIDE PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  14. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    • Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH so that the rear seat side garnish RH can be removed.
    • Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2020 - ] 

  15. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38

  16. REMOVE TETHER ANCHOR BRACKET SET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40

  17. REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 41

  18. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43

  19. DISCONNECT AC CHARGER INLET CABLE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Disengage the clamp.
    3. Remove the bolt and disconnect the earth terminal.

    4. Remove the 4 nuts and inlet AC charger cable.
  20. REMOVE EV CHARGER LID SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. Remove the 6 bolts.

    4. Detach the guide.
    5. Detach the fuel tank drain plug shield in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration and remove the EV charger lid sub-assembly.

      Remove in this Direction
  21. REMOVE EV CHARGER LID INDICATOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  22. REMOVE CHARGE LID LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    See step  21

  23. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE OPENING LID SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, raise the claw (A) while detaching the claw (B) as shown in the illustration, and then remove the battery service opening lid sub-assembly.

      Remove in this Direction
  24. REMOVE CONNECTOR COVER 
    1. Detach the clamp and remove the connector cover.

  25. REMOVE BATTERY CHARGER CONNECTOR OPENING LID SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply protective tape around the battery charger connector opening lid sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts.

    3. Remove the 2 screws and remove the battery charger connector opening lid sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    4. Detach the claw and remove the grommet.
