Removal [08/2020 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2018 - ]

  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (for HV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD (for HV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE BATTERY HOLE COVER (for HV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. for A25A-FXS:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

    2. for A25A-FKS:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

      WARNING:
      • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
      • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT BELT SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR BELT SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  14. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  15. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  16. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  17. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  18. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  19. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  20. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 "TORX" screws.

      *a Release Plate
      Remove in this Direction
    2. Remove the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to remove the rear door lock with motor assembly LH.
  21. REMOVE DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL 
    1. When reusing rear door lock with motor assembly LH:

      1. Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the rear door lock with motor assembly LH.
  22. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw and open the cover.

      Remove in this Direction
      Protective Tape
    2. Detach the clamp and remove the rear door lock remote control cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

  23. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw and open the cover.

      Remove in this Direction
      Protective Tape
    2. Detach the clamp and remove the rear door inside locking cable assembly as shown in the illustration.
