Removal [08/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- w/ Stop And Start System
When replacing the battery, use a new battery of the same dimensions with a capacity of 65 Ah or more at a 20-hour rate.
- w/o Stop And Start System
When replacing the battery, use a new battery of the same dimensions with a capacity of 60 Ah or more at a 20-hour rate.
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

*A w/o Stop And Start System *B w/ Stop And Start System
- Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- REMOVE BATTERY
- Detach the 2 claws as shown in the illustration and remove the connector cover from the positive (+) battery terminal.
*a Side View of Claws Push Battery Terminal Cap Here Push - Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.
- Remove the bolt and No. 2 battery clamp from the battery clamp sub-assembly.
Remove in this Direction - Remove the battery from the vehicle.
- Detach the 2 claws as shown in the illustration and remove the connector cover from the positive (+) battery terminal.
