Removal [11/2021 - 12/2022]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION WARNING:

NOTE:After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the auxiliary negative (-) battery terminal.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - 12/2022]
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
- Use the same procedure described for the RH side.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10
- Use the same procedure described for the RH side.
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 - REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ORNAMENT

- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH

- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
*a Turns off - - - Check that the ignition switch is off.
- Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.WARNING:
- Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
Remove in this Direction - - - Remove the 4 bolts.
- Detach the hook to remove the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.
- Detach the claw of the hood lock control lever, and then pull it out in the direction indicated by the arrow.
- Detach the wire harness clamp.
- Disconnect the airbag connector and remove the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.
